Block Paving

Block paving is a well-known alternative for driveways and surfacing projects.

Installation

Installation of block paving will begin with the excavation of the proposed area to a depth typically of 250mm.

Soft spots will be identified during this stage, backfilled and compacted.

A membrane is then installed to stabilize the area, prevent ground material mixing with the new subbase and restrict any growth of weeds from below.

A layer of MOT Type 1 limestone is then compacted to a depth of 150mm. This is followed by a compacted layer of coarse sand that is leveled before the installation of your chosen blocks in the desired pattern.

Finishing the installation with a kiln-dried sand swept into the entire area of installation.
